Zoomsphere, a site which provides statistics on major social networks including Twitter, Facebook and Google+, has just revealed some interesting information and statistics on LinkedIn users. Although it should not be too surprising, according to a study by the people of Zoomsphere dedicated to the measurements, 43 percent of all users of the LinkedIn professional network are in the United States . Moreover, this study indicated that IBM is the leader followed within LinkedIn .

In the United States, we find a total of 61 million LinkedIn users. Secondly, with India, though in a rather distant, with 14 million users. We can see the difference is enormous . Other countries listed in the top 10 users of LinkedIn are Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia, and almost last, Spain.
In the United States, IBM has a staggering 580 thousand followers , who can not even compare to the number of followers and community members who are on other networks like Facebook and Twitter. People prefer to be connected to IBM through LinkedIn, another social network rather than perhaps more popular, but not so professional. Some other conclusions that came from Zoomsphere were:
* While many of the most followed are related to IT, LinkedIn actually the most common industry is higher education , followed by IT, services, and financial services.
* More than half of the companies listed in LinkedIn has more than 10 000 employees. Smaller companies are not as present on LinkedIn.
* The most common age group LinekdIn is between 35 and 44 , followed by group 25 to 34. Interesting fact: LinkedIn more people between 18 and 24 professionals from more than 55 years of age.
* In all countries, more men than women registered on LinkedIn. In total, the site has about 143 million registered users (43% of them born in the U.S.).
